History Plans for the Week of February 25-29, 2008

Monday:   The students will complete an internet scavenger hunt on the feudal system  (6.5spi11)  NO HWTuesday: The students will evaluate the impact the Crusades had on Europe.  Atlas Act.   (6.4spi3) NO HWWednesday:  TCAP Review    4th period- Spanish    HW:  Journal due tomorrow ***Thursday:  Students will examine the role of the Catholic Church during the Middle Ages and its influence on architecture.  NO HWFriday:  International Day activities

History Plans for the Week of February 18-22, 2008

Monday:  HolidayTuesday:  The students will analyze the disagreements that divided the Christian Church and compare the Justinian Code with Hammurabi’s Code.  NO HWWednesday:  1st-  Spanish & Guidance    2nd-  Guidance  3rd &4th-  Work on academic vocabulary (TCAP review)Thursday:   2nd-  Spanish  The students will discuss the beginnings of Islam and identify characteristics of the religion.  The students will complete a chart about Islam    (6.6 spi1) Friday:  The students will evaluate the impact the Crusades had on Europe and and create an informational poster on the causes and effects of the Black Death.  NO HW

History Plans for the Week of February 11-15, 2008

NO journal this week.Warm Ups are due on Friday.1st & 2nd periods-  Study Island due on Friday.

Monday :  Analyze the rise of Christianity and it’s affect on Roman society. Notes. Chapter 8 Lesson 4. HW: None

Tuesday:  Students will play review bingo to study for test.  HW:  Chapter 8 test tomorrow

Wednesday:  Students will take a test over Chapter 8.  4th Period- Spanish  NO HW

Thursday:  1st & 2nd- TCAP review; 3rd- Spanish; 4th- Chapter 8 test HW:  Warm ups due tomorrow

Friday:  Students will create vocabulary note cards for Chapter 9.  NO HW

Monday:  Journal; students will complete an outline analyzing the creation of the Roman Empire- Chapter 8 Lesson 2;  4th-  present podcasts-  NO HWTuesday:  Students will discuss the influence of Greek culture on the Romans. Chapter 8 lesson 2. Complete an activity on telescoping timelines. NO HWWednesday:  TCAP Writing Assessment;  1st & 2nd- Guidance; complete an activity on Roman Roads  NO HWThursday:  1st, 3rd, & 4th- Discuss aspects of Roman architecture. Students will create an aqueduct.
