Monday: Students will determine elevation using contour lines. Activity on elevation. Go over journal topic. NO HW
Tuesday: Students will compare the Olmec and Mayan civilizations. Notes. Ch 4-3. HW: Warm Ups due tomorrow.
Wednesday: Guidance; Introduction to Study Island-computer lab HW: Ch 4 test tomorrow
Thursday: Students will take a test over Ch.4
Friday: We will be in the lab doing a Study Island pretest
Last day to turn in field trip money is Friday, October 26th. The cost is $6 and it’s cash only.
Current event dates for this nine weeks have been assigned. Please check with your child to make sure they are prepared for their current event presentation.
Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, October 24th. Please sign the report card envelope and return to your child’s homeroom teacher.
Monday: Students will continue to work on their group projects. HW: Projects due tomorrow.
Tuesday: Students will play their vocabulary games they created for the group projects. NO HW
Wednesday: Discuss Indus Valley civilizations including the city of Mohenjo-Daro. Discuss the demise of that civilization activity. Ch 4 sec 1. NO HW (6.1spi6)
Thursday: Students will complete atlas activity on ancient China HW: Journal due tomorrow
Friday: Students will interpret an elevation map. In class worksheets. (6.3spi5) HW: None

Monday- Friday: Students will work on the Egypt unit of study. Students will be working on self-directed activities for this chapter. They will be divided into groups and will rotate among the different stations that are set up. One station will focus on atlas activities. One station will focus on research skills. One will focus on an artistic/creative activity. One will focus on creating a myth. The last station will be a vocabulary review game. (6.1spi7, 6.2spi4, 6.5spi3, 6.5spi11, 6.5spi17) Journal #6 due on Friday

Friday: Students will identify the religion and art of the people from Ancient Egypt. Video. NO HW
